This issue features a variety of motifs, including death, lessons from other cultures, haunting reads, and an unlikely angel. Featured authors are Sandra Arguello, Andrew S. Fuller, G.M. Hanson, Cecilie Scott, and Aliya Whiteley. Also featured is artwork by Elena Cronin, Lea Goldman, and Sarah Elizabeth Hicks.

The deadline for Ink-Filled Page Summer 2009 submissions is rapidly approaching, and we'd love to see your work! We're accepting submissions of short fiction and nonfiction, of course, but we're especially seeking more art submissions by Sunday.

This issue features work by Marian Burke, Caren Coté, Claire Rudy Foster, Jess Barnett, Tina Christian, Andrew Dean, Diane Leon, and Jacinda Williams. From strains on mother-daughter bonds to sleep-deprived hallucinations, this written and visual art allows us to step into the mind of the author or artist. For a few moments, we are transported to a life not our own, perhaps similar or maybe more different than we ever thought possible.

Art has many muses and outlets. From family adventures and quarrels to secrets—both good and bad—art allows us to step into the mind of the author or artist. For a few moments, we are transported to a life not our own, perhaps similar or maybe more different than we ever thought possible.

The Ink-Filled Page is a quarterly literary journal produced by Indigo Editing, LLC. The journal is published online quarterly, and we print an anthology annually. We operate primarily off of donations of time and money. To sponsor an anthology or to get involved, e-mail info@indigoediting.com.

Selected authors and artists will receive a complimentary copy of the annual anthology. Authors will also receive professional editing services on the selected story.

Fiction submissions can be short stories or novel excerpts, and the nonfiction section is open to personal narratives and essays. While all genres are welcome, special interests include travel, multicultural themes, feminism, and magical realism.

Limit submissions to 5,000 words, one submission per candidate. Authors who submit more than one piece will not be considered.

Our youth issue features the artistic talents—both literary and visual—of youths aged eleven through eighteen. So polish your stories from English class, dust off your paintings from art class, and submit them for a chance to be published!

Fiction submissions can be short stories or novel excerpts that can stand alone, and the nonfiction section is open to personal narratives and essays. While all genres are welcome, special interests include travel, multicultural themes, feminism, and magical realism.

We are happy to announce the release of the Ink-Filled Page 2007 print anthology. Our launch party was last Saturday. Thanks to everyone who came and celebrated with us!

In these ink-filled pages, we're certain you'll witness artists' colorful strokes of culture, portraits of themselves as caretakers, blushing reflections of their youths, and dark sketches of their deepest fears. More than anything, you'll experience their artistic revelations on life itself. While we hope readers of all ages indulge in this anthology just as artists of all ages contributed, some of these revelations may resonate more either with adults or with youths. Summer 2007 Ink-Filled Page

We at Indigo are excited to announce the release of the latest issue of the Ink-Filled Page, which is the first issue to feature essays, stories, and art by young adults. The decision to feature youth writers and artists came naturally. All of Indigo’s senior and associate editors have worked with children, and we find fulfillment in teaching them, encouraging them to challenge themselves, and watching their talents blossom. And now that the Ink-Filled Page is in full swing, we found it appropriate to showcase young talent. Talent, indeed!
